Sponsorship
If you cannot adopt a homeless pet you can still help!
By sponsoring a
P.U.P. pet you can donate a one time amount of either $25, $50 or $100. The donation will go to paying for the pets food,
vaccinations and more. The pet will remain up for adoption. The pets available for sponsorship and those already sponsored are on this page. The pet can be sponsored in your own name or your
pet's name. After sponsoring a pet via Paypal, you will receive an email asking which pet you are putting the donation toward.
Bear

|
This is Bear. He was brought to us about
8 years ago to just be boarded for two weeks. His owners never came back.
He's kind of the mascot around here now and keeps all the youngsters in
line. He's about 12 now and in pretty good health.

Lindy

|
This is Lindy. She is a Catahoula mix
that came to us when she was 7 weeks old. Her previous owner wanted to
shoot her because she was deaf. Because of being deaf she obviously didn't
hear the adult dog growl at her to stay away and was bitten in the eye and
thru her bottom jaw. She is now blind in her left (brown patched) eye and
deaf. She underwent many surgeries to remove bone fragment from her jaw
but the eye was unrepairable. Lindy is now 6 and listens with sign
language. She has become the Alpha dog of the group despite her handicaps.
I have considered trying to find her a home but my heart tells me she has
been through enough. Changing home is hard enough on a young healthy dog,
but a dog like her has her own agenda now and to change it I think would
be more cruel. So she is the teacher here for all the young dogs and does
quite well at her job. Never underestimate the handicapped! What they lack
in one place, God gives them more somewhere else. |
