Happy Endings

Macy

Macy is a German Shepherd mix born on November 23, 2005. She was adopted by our webmaster in February 2006. She now lives in a wonderful home with her sister Maggie, a Border Collie mix, and two cats. All are rescues!

Chrissy

From an e-mail from Chrissy's new owner:

She's currently going into dog obedience classes, she had the sit command covered and we also have to teach the dog that when they're on the leash they have to walk right next to us not wander around. And she still needs to work on that but we'll get it.

Shes a li'l hyper one, when we have people over she gets really happy and that's another thing we're trying to work on, but she's only a puppy and people tell me that she's gonna grow out of it.

Chase

From an e-mail from Chase's owner:

I adopted Chase - oops - let me refrase that - he adopted me. Or rather - he saved "our" lives five + years ago in July of 2001.  We'd lost 3 chows in 5 weeks 5+ years ago. I went to Florida to wallow in my sorrows and to be somewhere where I was not reminded so much about the loss of our three chows. I'd talked to my cousin in Florida who had adopted a dog from PUP(s) and advised me to check your organization out. So I did. I was attracted to Chase's brother, Samson.  But, when Samson was brought to me to get acquainted with him, I asked that Chase be brought over too. Chase was so drawn to me and WON my HEART over BIG TIME. He became the LOVE of my LIFE and still is.   We presently have 4-four legged fur-babies who are all rescued dogs, which includes Chase. Chase's brothers and sisters are: Moses (Husky/Chow mix), Yogi (Pure Breed Cream colored Chow), and Summer, our Australian Cattle dog.

Cassidy

From an e-mail from Cassidy's owner:

Cassidy (right) is a very wonderful little (not so little anymore!) girl. We have been truly blessed to have her. She loves her brother Andy and her entire family. Thank you so much!!

Rug

From an e-mail from Rug's owner:

I heard about PUP about 12 years ago. My daughter had said she wanted a brown fluffy dog so off I went to find the perfect addition to our family. I went to Jeanne at PUP and began my search.  We finally decided on an adorable little fuffy puppy that was one of a litter of 13. We named her Rug-Bug (Rug for short).  In less than a month after we got our little fluffy bundle of joy. During my search Jeanne (with PUP) introduced me to Carol Chapuis with PUP. Carol convinced me to "foster care" for a little pointer mix female named Phoebe. This is where I learned "foster care" is not for me. I can't be trusted "not" to get attached to the little pups. We fell in love with Phoebe and added her to our family. I developed a friendship with Jeanne and Carol (Cause they're fantastic!). Later in years Carol introduced me to two other fantastic people who are now close friends of mine (Carla and Toni). So when I had to say good-bye to my dear Rug on September 25th, 2007 it was also bittersweet because she was not just responsible for "her" unconditional friendship, she was also responsible for bringing me the friendship of some pretty awesome two legged friends as well.

RIP Rug your sweet memory will always  be with me. . . .

Angelena

From an e-mail from Angelena's owner:

We adopted our wonderful Angelena from you in February 2004 and she has been the delight of our lives.  We had lost our beloved dog Yogi earlier that month and Angelena (your name for her was Lena) came along just at the right time to cheer our family up and make us smile again.  She is a wonderful companion for our 11 yr old Shepard/Husky mix Garth and she rules the roost at our house while protecting us as a great watch dog.  You guys trained her so well she has never had an accident in the house which is the most amazing thing!  She is a very quick learner and does tricks like sit, stay, lay down, scoot up and kisses whenever you ask for one or many.  She always comes when she is called the very first time.  She has many stuffed toys and loves them all as if she were the mayor of a small town.  Thanks so much for bringing this magnificent, loving member of our family into our lives.

Duke

From an e-mail from Duke's owner:

I just wanted to share a few pictures of Duke and his sister!

We took a Christmas break on Sunday and took them to the causeway. Another dog showed up with his daddy and ours watched him fetch in the water. After they left we decided to see if Duke would be interested!

His first swim, once he realized he was no longer toughing, he turned and high tailed it back to shore to watch the ball! On his own, he decided to try again and got distracted by some minnows and decided he would try to catch them! It was hilarious- he was having so much fun!

He finally made it out to the ball and with his courage up went another 2 times!

He is one of the most affectionate dogs we have ever had and we all love
him so much!
